Requirements for the Application

  • All applicants who wish to apply for the above listed position must satisfy the following conditions
  • Applicants must Be a Nigerians.
  • Applicants must be a male or female between the ages of 20 and 32 years and medical consultants must not be more than 40 years by January 2020.
  • Instructed applicants must be medically, mentally and physically fit.
  • Applicants must be recommended at least by 2 recognizable referees who must attest to the applicant’s character and integrity. Referees could be a Secretary/Local Govement Chairman or any officer of the Armed Forces and must not be below the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel and equivalent or an Assistant Commissioner of Police. Finally Referee must be from the applicant’s state of origin.  Applicants are required to affixed Passport photographs of referees to the letter of attestation.
  • Applicants are expected to submit a letter of Attestation from their former institutions.
  • The required measurement for the recruitment is at least 1.68m (for male) and 1.65m (for female) in height.
  • Interested applicants must not have been convicted by any court of law.  Military personnel are expected to be free from any disciplinary case
  • All applicant wishing to apply for the recruitment must possess at least a first degree with not less than Second Class Lower Division or HND of not less than Lower Credit from any recognized institution of learning. Applicants courses of study must also be accredited at the time of study.
  • Applicants must have a valid birth certificate recommended by the National Population Commission, Hospital or Local Govement Council or valid age declaration.
  • Applicants must acquire a valid certificate of state of origin.
  • NYSC discharge certificate or a valid exemption is required.
  • Graduates with which acquire professional qualifications must be duly registered by significant bodies recognized by Nigerian Laws at the commencement of cadet training.
  • Applicants should note that only post secondary academic credentials obtained from 2010 to date will be permitted.
  • Contact addresses and telephone numbers of parent/guardians and Next of Kin must be presented by the applicant.
  • Any form of body inscriptions or tattoos will not be welcomed.
  • All original copies of educational certificates (primary to post secondary) should be submitted.
  • All Service personnel are required to present valid military identity cards and letters of recommendations by their Commanding Officers/Commanders.  Applicants are also requested to present valid letter(s) of NA sponsorship in tertiary academic institutions. Also, they must have served for a minimum of 5 years in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
  • Candidates must not be part of any cult/society/frateity.

How to Apply for DSSC Recruitment

Applications are to be made online free of charge from the 7th of August 2019.

  • From the home page, select the DSSC application.
  • At the completion of your registration, you will receive an email notification. This email notification contains your login details.
  • Click on ‘Login’ to complete the application form.

Required Documents for Upload

  • Passport photograph.
  • Educational certificates.
  • Evidence of membership of any professional body.
  • Certificate of state of origin.
  • Birth certificate or age declaration.

PROMPT:  Applicants must print out their online generated photo-slip after filling and submitting their application. The first page has to be signed by the Registrar of Court of Law while the second page has to be signed by the applicants’ Local Government Chairman/Secretary or any military officer of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent finally who hails from his/her state. Successful applicants have to present their printed photo-slips to the selection board during interview.
