About Al-Hikmah University

Al-Hikmah University  was founded in the year 2005 by by the Abdur-Raheem Oladimeji Islamic Foundation (AROIF), Nigeria. Al-Hikmah University came into existence through the granting of License to operate as a Conventional Private University which was done by the Federal Government of Nigeria License No. 010 on 7th January, 2005.

The main aim of Al-Hikmah University it to serve as fore-runner in providing quality University education of international standard.

The university has made a strategy to be an institution where sound academic knowledge blends with moral and spiritual excellence.

Al-Hikmah University Direct Entry Application Form

Qualified postgraduate applications are also invited for the 2019/2020 academic session leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and Master Degrees of the University. The M.A. degree Programmes run for less than 12 months and a maximum of 24 months on full time basis. The PGDE runs on Part-time basis. All Full-time undergraduate programmes run for 4 years except 5 years for Law programmes and Part-time undergraduate programmes run for 6 years.

Requirements for Al-Hikmah University Post UTME / DE Form

Qualified candidates should go through the requirements before they proceed their application

1. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Applicants who wish to apply for Al-Hikmah University Undergraduate Programmes  must have a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC in not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects to your Undergraduate Programmes. Al candidates must have at least a credit pass in English Language. Also, candidates must have at least a credit pass in Mathematics in order to get admission into Degree Programmes in the Colleges of Management Sciences, Natural Sciences and some Education Courses. Candidates who obtained suitable qualifications in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) DE Form 2019 can also apply for Direct Entry.

 

2. SUB-DEGREE (DIPLOMA) PROGRAMMES

Interested applicants must possess a minimum of four (4) Credit passes in not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC. Thanawiyyah/Tawjihiyyah Certificate of an Arabic Senior Secondary School duly registered with the relevant State Authorities or equivalent to any of the above mentioned qualifications will be considered.

Interested applicants for the Sub-degree Common Law Diploma Programme must have at least five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature in English and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics.

Applicants for the Sub-degree Common And Islamic Law Diploma Programme must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC Examinations or their equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature-in-english, Islamic Studies or Arabic Knowledge and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics.

 

3. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

1. Master’s Degree: Applicants who are graduates of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin or any other recognized Universities and wish to apply for the academic Master’s degree programmes, must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours Degree (Upper Division). Applicants with Second Class (Lower Division) might be admitted if they score a minimum of 50% in the examination administered by the University.

Irrespective of the institution where the Bachelor’s degree is obtained, CANDIDATES will apply early for their Bachelor’s degree and academic transcripts to be addressed to The Dean, Postgraduate School.

2. Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE): interested applicants must have a first degree from Al-Hikmah University Ilorin or any other recognized University. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) are also qualified for the applicaion. However all candidates must make sure they meet University’s O’level requirements.

How to Apply for Al-Hikmah University Programmes

Candidates should go through the following requirements before proceeding their application

  1. Candidates who wish to apply for Sub-degree Diploma and Undergraduate Programmes should visit: alhikmah.edu.ng and pay a non-refundable fee of N10,000 online. Candidates who wish to apply for M.A. degree and PGDE programmes must pay a non-refundable fee of N20,000 online after the completion of the online application form.
  2. Candidates should Print the completed form, the online Payment Receipt and Two copies of the Reference Form.
  3. Candidates must submit the online Payment Receipt to the University Bursary Department before they can obtain the official receipt.
  4. Candidates should present the completed form with important documents (credentials. Original & Photocopy) and official receipt at the Admissions Office for immediate screening.
